COMPUTING

“The number one benefit of information technology is that it empowers people to do what they want to. It lets people be creative. It lets people be productive. It lets people learn things they didn’t think they could learn before, and so in a sense is all about potential.”  Steve Ballmer

Our Purpose of Study for computing

Our curriculum focuses on a progression of skills in digital literacy, information technology, and computer science to ensure that children become competent in safely using, understanding and programming technology.

Our Content for Computing

Our curriculum focuses on a progression of skills in digital literacy, computer science, and online safety and information technology to ensure that children become competent in safely using, understanding and programming technology. These strands are revisited throughout children’s time in school to ensure the learning is embedded and skills are successfully developed, using software that provides both ease of use and academic challenge.
