In an exciting battle, Paxton Panthers beat Holywell Primary School 34 – 12. Holywell performed marvellously considering they had only trained five times in PE lessons; however, the Panthers were in fine form. In the first half, Nathan, Oliver and Evan all scored amazing touchdowns, setting a 20 – 0 lead at half time. The Panthers rock solid defence proved worthy to stop all Holywell attacks.
In the second half, two more touchdowns by Ethan and Rhys made it 34 – 0 and gave the Panthers some much needed confidence. Holywell bounced back with two touchdowns late in the game but it wasn’t enough to topple the Panthers.
It was a good game and well done to Harry, Oliver, Thomas, Ethan, Molly, Evan, Rhys, Owen Sh, Dami and Nathan. A special thanks to our stand in coach Owen Samm who kept them motivated throughout the game.
