British Values

The DfE reinforced the need ‘to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.’

These are the fundamental values that are covered:

  • The Rule of Law
  • Democracy
  • Tolerance
  • Responsibility and Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith

    At our school these values are reinforced regularly through our curriculum and daily life at the school with the aim of preparing all of our pupils for life in modern day Britain.
