What is the Kickstart scheme?

The Kickstart Scheme is a 6 month paid job with a local employer, funded by the Government. It provides a fully funded opportunity for young people to gain experience of working in some of Britain’s most exciting companies.

Jobs from the Kickstart Scheme are open to 16-24 year olds, who are claiming Universal Credit, and are at risk of long term unemployment. If you have a work coach they will talk to you about the Kickstart Scheme and whether it’s right for you.

 How do I know if I qualify? 

To express an interest in getting a Kickstart Scheme job speak to your Work Coach.

 How to apply? 

Please contact your Universal Credits Work Coach who will contact the school with a Unique ID code. Once the School have received this you can then apply by sending the completed application form to agatward@littlepaxton.camb.sch.uk. We are unable to accept applications without this unique ID code.  The closing date for applications is the 12th July and interviews will take place during that same  week commencing 12th July.
