On Tuesday, the Little Paxton Panthers girls football team travelled to St Ives to take part in a regional futsal tournament. A lot of the girls taking part were playing their first match for the school team, so they were incredibly excited to take part. Little Paxton lost their first game to the eventual winners (Houghton), but managed to win their second game 1-0 against Warboys Primary School. A close final group game ended in a 3-1 defeat to Thorndown Primary School. The girls played a final game competing for a 5th place finish against St Helen’s Primary School. The girls gave it their best shot but the game ended in defeat. We all were incredibly proud of the children that took part because they represented the school very well and showed incredible sportsmanship throughout.
Well done to Payton, Tallulah, Alice J, Sophie, Penny, Polly, Daisy V, Alana and Molly F.
